                JD*BERT Instructions and Help It looks like Qbert, it sounds like Qbert, it plays like Qbert, it is like Qbert.Sound:
Click on the button on the bottom of the applet. Click on the small JD*bert icon in bottom right hand corner. (The sounds really slow up the game, so the default is OFF. If anyone knows of a good address about working with sound files in Java please e-mail me.)
Controls:
(Make sure Num-Lock is on.) 8 = move JD*bert up & left. 9 = move JD*bert up & right. 5 = move JD*bert down & left. 6 = move JD*bert down & right.
Enemies:
Green Ball: Stomp on to pause enemies. Red Ball: If touched JD*bert will lose a life. Purple Ball/Snake: If touched JD*bert will lose a life. Dark Monsters: If touched JD*bert will lose a life. Green Monsters: Stomp on to get rid of them.
Bonus Lives:
First bonus life at 8,000 points. Each additional life at increments of 18,000 points.
Level Progression:
S = Starting color M = Middle color Ct = "Change To"Ęcolor Level 1 When JD*bert jumps on S, it changes to Ct. When he jumps on Ct, it stays at Ct. Level 2 When JD*bert jumps on S, it changes to M. When he jumps on M, it changes to Ct. When he jumps on Ct, it stays at Ct. Level 3 When JD*bert jumps on S, it changes to Ct. When he jumps on Ct, it changes back to S. Level 4 When JD*bert jumps on S, it changes to M. When he jumps on M, it changes to Ct. When he jumps on Ct, it changes back to M. Level 5 and above When JD*bert jumps on S, it changes to M. When he jumps on M, it changes to Ct. When he jumps on Ct, it changes back to S.
